Japan export
China first exported ceramics to Japan in the 700s, and by the 1500s exported millions of pieces/year. Celadon ceramics were the first type, followed later by tea ceramics in the Song, blue and white and enamels in the Ming, and all of the above by the Qing.
This late 1600s (or early 1700s) piece has a very Japanese style, showing the degree (and skill) with which exports were tailored for target country’s audience.
