Northern Song Dynasty Yue ware cup stand
MonochromesSong & Jin Dyn.

Compare the glaze on this piece to the glaze on this Northern Song censer in the Cincinnati Art Museum. Different kiln complexes, but same time and region so similar glaze formulations, visible mostly on the edges where the glaze thins.

It’s probable this production kiln was trying to imitate the glaze used in the nearby imperial Ru kiln. The lack of fish-scale crackles, the more olive hue, the circular kiln support (as opposed to sesame seeds of the Ru), and the applied masks all show this piece as not imperial, but likely for a scholarly elite.
